The Lustgarten (Pleasure Garden) at Kroměříž

The Czech Republic has two Baroque landscapes that are listed as World Heritage Cultural Landscapes: Lednice-Valtice and the Gardens and Palace at Kroměříž.  These provide a good basis for comparison of the various aspects of Baroque landscape design that were employed at Valeč.

The following site places the Baroque etching circa 1691 in the landscape at Kroměříž as it appears today.  The majority of the etchings focus on the intimate gardens spaces of the Pleasure Garden, however there all also longer view connections that provide some context of the larger landscape.
