Arrival and check in for non-UMass participants on Sunday the week of the school: If you arrive before we start at 2:30pm, please go directly to North Residential Area, Building C, 56 Eastman Lane, Amherst, MA (marked on the map above). The check-in time is 11:00am on Sunday. When you check in to the residence hall you will receive directions for parking, if you drove, and to the lecture area. If you arrive 2:30pm or later, please come directly to the summer school in LGRT 1634; you can check in later in the day.

Start of the summer school on Sunday. All events will be held in LGRT 1634 (16th floor of Lederle), marked as “Lectures” on the map. After checking in please join us for introductions, some refreshments and a welcome meeting at 2:20pm. We’ll have for you a folder with meal cards, name tags, maps and schedule. The first lecture starts promptly at 3:00pm on Sunday. We will provide pizza for dinner after the lectures on Sunday.

Eduroam Wi-Fi:  If the Eduroam Wi-Fi system is available on your home campus, we recommend that you sign up for it (before traveling here) for easiest access to Wi-Fi during the summer school.

Outdoor activities: On Tuesday afternoon, we will go on a short hike. Those who prefer not to hike can swim in a nearby pond or just relax. We will have a picnic dinner Wednesday evening.

Posters:  We ask that you bring posters so that we can get to know each others’ scientific interests. Posters are optional but highly encouraged as a way for us to get to know each other. You can bring very informal posters which need not be conference-level posters with lots of results (those are fine too!). Standard  3’x4′ posters boards will be made available.

If you are taking a shuttle from Hartford Bradley Airport ask them to
