Textbook and Homework

Textbook: Algebra and Trigonometry, 6th edition, by Robert Blitzer. Pearson. 2018.

Homework assignments will be assigned and completed through the online homework platform called: MyMathLab (MML). Your MML account will contain links to not only your assignments but also an e-book of your textbook as well as many multimedia resources.  There is also a personalized study plan automatically generated from your previous work that links you to unlimited tutorial exercises for further study, so you can practice until you have mastered the skills. For Technical problems with MML, call the Course Compass student help line at:  1-800-677-6337

It is highly recommend that you wait before purchasing the access code. Specific purchasing options (including a reduced rate for UMass Amherst students) will be on the course Moodle page once you’re registered for the course.

Every math104 student gets free access to MML for the first 14 days. You eventually must purchase an access code. All your work under the free access will be saved and transferred to your permanent account.
