Chris Davis invited speaker at TripleA 3

ChrisChris Davis (University of the Ryukyus, 2011 UMass PhD) was the (sole) invited speaker at this year’s workshop on The Semantics of African, Asian and Austronesian Languages (TripleA 3) in Tübingen (Germany). Chris talked about evidentials in Okinawan. Also on the program were Rudmila-Rodica Ivan and Deniz Özy?ld?z, who presented their joint work on Somali determiners and pronouns in two talks.

Chris works on the languages of the Ryukyus, a highly diverse sister language family of Japanese, spoken from Amami island in the north to Yonaguni island in the southwest.
