I’m a fifth year PhD student in Linguistics at UMass Amherst. I work in the syntax-semantics interface, largely on Dravidian (Tamil) and Indo-Aryan (Hindi-Urdu) languages. My areas of focus are: (in semantics) quantification, presupposition, negative polarity, focus/alternative semantics, indeterminates; (in syntax) pseudo-incorporation, object shift, and argument structure.

I collaborate with Sakshi Bhatia on sluicing in Hindi-Urdu, and have worked with Sakshi Bhatia and Gurmeet Kaur on comparatives in Hindi-Urdu.
