CLACLS Meeting on Emotions (I)

A Conversation on Shame

Last Tuesday, Professor Stephanie Fetta, CLACLS Director, organized a meeting to discuss the significance of emotions both in the academic world, but also in one’s personal life. Fetta, whose work focuses on the underpinnings of racialized shame, invited the participants to freely talk about their own experiences with shame. Everyone participated with insightful comments based on their own lived realities and shared personal stories while enjoying the dinner CLACLS provided.

CLACLS will continue to organize these meetings in the future, since we recognize the importance of discussing what emotion and affect do politically, socially, and economically.
