Senior Research Scientist, Wellesley College
Klepac-Ceraj Lab
Computational Microbiology & Immunology

“Gut microbes and their genes predict neurocognitive development in early life”

Dr. Bonham received his PhD in Immunology in Jon Kagan’s lab at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School characterizing TLR signal transduction. He was then a postdoctoral fellow in Rachel Dutton’s lab studying horizontal gene transfer in microbial communities, using cheese as a model microbiome. He is now a Senior Research Scientist in the Klepac-Ceraj lab at Wellesley College and his research is focused on studying gut microbial communities in health and disease and developing computational approaches for studying microbial community data. Dr. Bonham has also worked extensively in science communication, contributing to Scientific American and co-hosting an immunology podcast. It’s sure to be an engaging and interesting seminar!

Refreshments will be served at 3:45pm.
