“Differential Resilience to Perturbation of Circuits with similar behaviors”

Eve Marder is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, a former President of the Society for Neuroscience. She has been very influential in both her advocacy and her research, which focuses on neurons in the crab stomatogastric ganglion.  Her work has shown the role that neuromodulatory inputs play in the functioning of a circuit. This has helped shape our understanding of how the brain works.
