Post-class update: The demo files folder has been reposted with the missing excel file, and the link to Mark Johnson’s invaluable slides on MaxEnt models that I refer to in the handout is now on the relevant “Models” page.

Please add your Week 2 discussion comment/question here. Week 2 includes the classes of Thursday July 14th and Monday July 18th, whose topics are OT/HG typology with different constraint sets, serial OT/HG, and the introduction to probabilistic models and variation.

There is a workshop “Testing models of phonetics and phonology” Wednesday. Please come, even if you haven’t registered (just bring your own coffee and snacks if that’s the case!).
