Get involved!
Join any of GWIS’ 6 organizing committees.

Committee Members are the primary organizers who makes GWIS operate. We 30-or-so grad students are conceiving and running our 50+ events per year across 6 programming areas (mentoring, communications, professional development, finance, outreach, networking). We are writing grants, winning them, and operating our budget. We are writing a quarterly magazine. We are going into middle schools and talking to girls about science. Committee membership is the best way to get involved with GWIS in a low-commitment, high-impact way- and committees are open to graduate students of all gender identities who wish to support GWIS’ mission statement. More specifics are linked here and if you’re not sure what might be a good fit for you, just reply to gwis@grad.umass.edu.
