Strengthen key skills that you need to conduct ethical, systematic, feasible, useful, and socially just program evaluations in a range of contexts and organizations.
Did you “stumble” into the field of program evaluation? Many people charged with evaluating programs often have little or no training in the history, methods, or standards of the field. The UMass Amherst College of Education’s Program Evaluation Graduate Certificate is an online program of five three-credit courses designed to immerse current and aspiring evaluators in the profession of evaluation.
Core courses include data collection, data visualization, and facilitating use. Instructors will help tailor course activities and assessments to your own evaluation contexts and unique needs. Students are invited to take up to two courses before applying to the program.
If you are looking to formally “become” an evaluator, or already “doing” evaluation, this certificate program will be of significant value.
The Graduate Certificate in Program Evaluation is pending approval.
