Welcome! This site provides information and resources for all educator licensure programs at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Licensure Program Tabs: All the Educator Licensing Programs and Pathways for Teachers and School Professionals offered at UMASS. Link here for a printed copy of all the programs available. There is a tab for each type of licensure: Initial Teacher Licensure, Professional Teacher Licensure, Initial Specialist and Professional Support Personnel Licenses, and Bilingual Education Endorsement. These individual pages include a list of the licenses that fall within that category and the L-forms associated with that license.

Waiver and Deferral Forms. This tab houses most of the internal licensure, deferral, or waiver forms. Each form has particular instructions as to who should initiate them and what process to follow and in some cases community partners and then returned to our offices for filing in candidate files.

CAP All Initial Teacher Licensure Candidates are required to successfully complete the Candidate Assessment of Performance Assessment (CAP). This page includes the most up to date forms that are required for the formal observations, the Formative and Summative Assessments. These are templates that can be downloaded by each program.
