New report by Robert Pollin of PERI suggests that divestment from fossil fuel companies has not been especially effective in reducing carbon emissions

A new report co-authored by Robert Pollin, distinguished professor of economics and co-director of the Political Economy Research Institute (PERI), finds that while it is a popular demand from environmentalists, divestment from fossil fuel companies has “not been especially effective” in reducing carbon emissions — and won’t become effective in the future.
