Gerald C. Friedman, economics, comments in a news story in The Washington Post about how U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders’ ideas would change the country if he is elected president. Friedman says, for example, if Sanders’ plan to use federal funding for public colleges and universities were implemented, it would require writing very specific rules about what building would qualify as “academic” as opposed to other uses that Sanders doesn’t want to fund.
