I serve as Associate Professor of Health Equity in the Department of Health Promotion and Policy, School of Public Health & Health Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
My research focuses on the intersections of race/ethnicity, gender, class, migration, and other socioeconomic and sociocultural constructs, and their relationship with health and educational issues in Latin America and the United States.
Furthermore, I am invested in the development and implementation of community, institutional, and policy-level strategies to better serve Latinx/Latin American and other marginalized communities.
