The UMass Center for Teaching and Learning is hosting a training for UMass community members called Facilitating Difficult Classroom Conversations During Divisive Times. The training is on Friday, October 23 from 11:30 am – 1 pm.
Co-facilitators Dr. Laura Vandenberg, Associate Dean of undergraduate academic affairs, and Dr. Kirsten Helmer, Director of Programming for diversity, equity, and inclusion at CTL, will discuss strategies for holding productive conversations related polarizing and divisive current events.
