2013 Results!

The University of Massachusetts Dance Team traveled to Daytona Beach, Fla., to compete in the National Dance Alliance Division I National Championship this week, placing sixth out of 16 finalists on Friday. The squad earned third in the preliminary round to secure a bid for the championship round.

“After months of preparation and two days of competition our hard work paid off and we placed sixth in the Division-I finals,” said team member Lauren McNally. “This dedicated team has showed that with perseverance you can achieve anything. Our energy and passion is what brought us to the top and we could not be more proud of ourselves.”

Towson took first with a final score of 9.625 while Stephen F. Austin finished second at 9.398. Sacred Heart (9.367), James Madison (9.197) and Boston University (9.002) rounded out the top-five. UMass earned an 8.983 to beat out Nebraska-Omaha, which scored an 8.903, for sixth.
