His research interests include theoretical physics at the interface of nuclear physics, high energy physics, and cosmology.   A member of lgbt+physicists , he seeks to foster a more welcoming and supportive climate for sexual minorities in physics.

Biased, Bystander, or Barrier Breaker?

How can we make the field of physics become more welcoming to and inclusive of women and members of different minority groups?
This workshop will first explore the impediments to inclusivity that arise from our own unconscious biases and those of others. We will then discuss ways to move beyond being bystanders and to become actively engaged in breaking down barriers to full participation by people of all backgrounds and identities.

Workshop  Saturday Jan 19 9:00 – 9:45 and 9:50 – 10:35 am, ILC S 240
