For printout of photo for class 13-14 research methods we posted on ILC bulletin board (class 14), write 1 paragraph to post with your photo.

  • Write a few sentences to add meaning to the photo printout.

  • Draw from class 13 narrative; if needed, modify to craft a short narrative to engage the reader.

  • Start by free writing whatever comes to you.

  • Consider offering reflections that go beyond simple description of the research method takeaway you’re representing, e.g. “this is about health and communication.”

  • You might use a personal voice, ironic style, what else?

  • First write your draft on your Google doc.

  • Then handwrite (pen/pencil) this draft onto a piece of paper.

  • Could be on a page from an exam book, a note card, what else.  The examples posted above and below were done on pages from an exam book.  They were responding to an assignment on the commons as an alternative paradigm.

  • Size shouldn’t be larger than photo printout.

  • Make sure it’s dark enough to be read and as legible as possible.

  • Do several drafts if needed.

  • Bring the final draft to class to post by your printout.  If you’ve done several preliminary drafts, you might bring them as well.
