No photo availableResearch interests: My primary research interests are in the areas of semantics and pragmatics of natural language, and in cognitive science more generally. The theme of my research is context dependence of temporal expressions (e.g. tense, aspect, adverbs) with the aim of better understanding how compositional semantics interacts with discourse structure and discourse coherence. I have also worked on the phonetics, phonology and documentation of Osage and have ongoing interests in metrics.

No photo availableResearch interests: I am interested in how intonation is used to convey epistemic meaning. My work deals with epistemic intonational marking in both adults and children. I am currently working on children's comprehension of intonationally-encoded epistemic meaning in Catalan and English. My recent work also deals with the role of facial gestures in the comprehension of intonational meaning. I am exploring this in typically-developing children and adolescents with high-functioning autism.
