Where/Why did you get your pet?:  Ruth adopted Bob about 2 years ago! She adopted him from an organization called “Specialty Purebred Cat Rescue”. “I saw him online, and after filling out the adoption papers, we went and picked up Bob”. Ruth has had Siamese cats for over 50 years, but she says that Bob is the best one she’s had.

Is there a story behind its name?: His name was Bob when Ruth got him, and she decided to keep his name. I personally love his name! It’s so cute and it really gives him a bit of a personality!

Anything special or unusual about them?: “He wants to be pet 24/7!”, Ruth says. “You can be cooking and he wants love. And he gets upset if he can’t see you”. A bit atypical to a cat’s usual behavior, Bob loves to be around people!  He loves getting any attention he can find, and he is very happy hanging around wherever Ruth is! He is also a really well behaved cat: he never goes on the counter tops or on her bed, and he plays with his toys all day long. He even greets guests and the door and happily escorts them back when they leave.

How spoiled is your pet?

“Not spoiled at all!” says Ruth, proudly. She said he never begs for food at the table and is totally satisfied with his little treat he gets each night at dinnertime. He has also never been outside of the house! Ruth keeps her back porch door open for him and Bob just sits there watching all the animals outside. From what I could see, Bob was a really well behaved cat. I would say the only thing he might be spoiled with is Ruth’s love and affection towards him!

What else should we know?

An interesting fact about Bob is that his breed is originally from England and they were kept in barns to keep the mice out. Another interesting thing is that Bob won’t sit on anyone’s lap, and Ruth can’t pick him up! She said he won’t let anyone pick him up or let him sit on their lap. I guess even Bob likes his space, too!

It was so nice meeting with Ruth and talking about/meeting Bob! Ruth loves him so much and if you’d ever like to visit them at 39 Deverell Drive, Ruth said Bob will be waiting for you to come pet him!
