About Me

When people ask me where I’m from, I give a rather long answer.

I was born in USSR, on the territory of Ukraine. (fyi, USSR =/= Russia) The city I’m from, Odessa, is famous for many things. One of them is April fool’s day being given an official status. Another is it’s unique dialect of Russian. It seems though that I’ve acquired the more standard version of the language, although the famous “two big differences” is a part of my everyday vocabulary.

Then, after some years, my family moved to Israel. There I acquired a very good knowledge of Modern Hebrew, and also began to explore languages like C and C++. However, after dipping my toes into the field of linguistics at Tel-Aviv University, I realized that human languages appeal to me more than programming ones. The rest was history…
