UMass Geography Club

The Geography Club is a UMass registered student organization in which students in the Five College Community who share an interest in geography can meet for field trips, talks, films, social events and other activities. All majors are welcome. For more information, contact Le Tran (President) at Letran@umass.edu.

Our main goal in the fall semester is to prepare a team to send to NESTVAL Geography Bowl. This year, we placed third of six teams, behind Salem State University and the University of New Hampshire. Our own Dan Finn and Mark Doherty were of the six participants selected out of all of the participants to be on the NESTVAL team that is sent to compete at the American Association of Geographers (in Seattle this year).

Geography Club typically meets on every other Wednesday at 6:30PM in Hasbrouck 236, but we will send out emails days before each meeting to confirm that we are meeting that week. We also hold field trips every other Saturday (the week we do not meet). The UMass Geography Club welcomes everyone, please do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
