Dr. Hoque has a Ph.D. and M.Arch. in Architecture from the University of California-Berkeley. She also holds a M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor in the Building Systems Program at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where she has been teaching courses on environmental systems and sustainable design principles since 2008. Prior to this and since 2006, she was adjunct professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she taught studio courses focusing on the conservation of energy, water, and material resources in architectural design.
