Sakina KazmiSecretary of the Registry: Sakina Kazmi
sga.registry@stuaf.umass.edu

Sakina is the SGA’s Secretary of Registry. Overall, her job entails reviewing new RSO applications and helping a new RSO ease its way into the university’s workings. She also serves as Chair for the Campus Center/Student Union Commission, where she and the Deputy of the Registry and the rest of the commission thoughtfully, through a specific unbiased procedure, allocate space to deserving RSO’s throughout the Student Union. I’m glad to be the Sec. of Reg. because I love working with people, and enlightening them on what the university has to offer to them after becoming a Registered Student Organization. I think it’s important for students to participate actively on campus, whether it is through joining clubs or through classes. I want to serve as a channel between students and all RSOs on campus by spreading the purposes of all RSOs and finding out the needs of students, especially if they’re looking for a club/activity that has not yet been registered. If you have any questions at all about RSOs, for example, starting one, joining one, what RSOs are active on campus, etc., please feel free to email me at sga.registry@stuaf.umass.edu or swing by the SGA office, room 420 in the Student Union, during my office hours and I will be happy to help.

Rick PierreSecretary of Finance: Rick Pierre

sga.secfinance@stuaf.umass.edu

As the Secretary of Finance, my responsibilities are to monitor the funds and accounts of the different registered student organizations on campus. I work very closely with the Finance committee and the Ways of Means committee in the allocation of funds into different accounts. What happens in Senate meetings greatly influences what I do. I make sure that all allocations made by the student government are both possible and necessary.

On campus, Shane Coleman is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated, a resident of Springfield, Massachusetts, and an individual dedicated to making change in the college community. Shane believes in college access and affordability for all, educating youth towards realizing the importance of higher education and the benefits of it. Following Lindsey McCluskey as Secretary of Diversity Affairs, Shane hopes to support the aims and purposes of the Public Higher Education Network of Massachusetts (PHENOM), Massachusetts Students Uniting (MSU), and hopes to develop increased relations with United States Students Association (USSA)
