Tours of the UMass Amherst award-winning state-of-the-art cogeneration power plant will take place starting at 1:15 p.m. Saturday, November 19.
The plant provides 13 megawatts of electrical power in addition to heating or cooling all of the buildings of the high-tech city-like campus of more than 30,000 inhabitants at an overall efficiency of 85%. …more.
