Youth Programs

Springfield Titans – The Springfield Titans originated in 1999. They were originally called the Springfield CityHawks but later changed their name to the Springfield Titans. The purpose of the Springfield Titans is to provide an opportunity for participation by youths, under the age of 19, in an organized competitive baseball and softball program, to facilitate the development of advanced baseball and softball skills as well as good sportsmanship. The Springfield Titans develop, promote, and regulate the activity of competitive baseball and softball through local competition with an emphasis on state, national and international competitive opportunities. YMCA of Greater Springfield- the YMCA of greater Springfield has several events going on for the youth and families. The YMCA focuses on three different areas: Youth Development, Healthy Living and Social Responsibility. To check out more information click here.

Lion’s Den – The Lion’s Den is a place of rest and encouragement for the youth of greater Springfield. The Lion’s Den was created to provide a faith focused sanctuary for young people. The Den is operated by a group of dedicated volunteers and EVERYTHING IS FREE OF CHARGE. Youth come to the Lion’s Den because of great music, food, games, conversations,and answers to questions of life. Visit the Lion’s Den website to find out more information!

Springfield Technical Community College (STCC) – STCC is a leader in technology and instructional innovation, transforms lives through educational opportunities that promote personal and professional success. Saint John’s Congregational Church- St Johns is one of the oldest and active Black Churches in New England. Youths can get involved with the Youth Choir (ages 13-18) who are committed to praising God through contemporary gospel music as well as original compositions and arrangements. Springfield Longhorns- The Springfield Youth Football Association Inc (Springfield Longhorns) is a Football and Cheer program that was established in 2009. The organization is part of Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. The organization aims to develop well rounded young men and women who learn not only the fundamental of football and cheerleading in an organized and supervised environment with emphasis on maximum safety but also the importance of education in an atmosphere conducive to developing a sound mind, body, and character.
