About the Juniper Institute
Juniper Institute participants form a community of writers committed to exploring the creative process and advancing their craft. At the heart of the Institute are intensive workshops in poetry and fiction. Specializing in one genre and working closely with a core group of readers, participants generate new work or revise work in progress.
In addition to workshops, each day offers an interactive craft session during which faculty and writers in residence discuss issues pertinent to writing and the writing life or lead participants in writing exercises. Communal meals and open-mic readings invite cross-pollination among participants. Each evening features readings by acclaimed faculty and writers in residence.
