online marketing
In my modern business strategies class, we have been looking at the most recent developments within the world of internet business. Though most of the tactics surrounding the newest strategies have remained the same in their aim, the ways in which technology has been playing a role has changed a great deal. On television where we see ads that change with the time of day, which is based on demographics, we see ads on the internet follow the same suit. The big difference online is that these ads can be tailored to the individual’s wants and interests. With the technology developments of the past decade we have come to a point where each and every person has an internet experience based upon what they want or need from the experience. Side bar ads are chosen to surround words in e-mails or search texts. These ads are specifically placed to bring the consumer closer to exactly what they are looking for without the deception of some other ad tactics that work to simply lure in consumers.
We have also been taking a different look at online marketing and how it is less like the deceptive tactics of past advertisements. The market has spoken in that people are less interested in advertisements treat them as if they are uninformed blobs. People are directing the tactics of the marketing firms towards much more human styles of sales. That is why we see marketers move with ease in their use of extremely fast statistics that draw from common search texts of products. By looking at these texts, marketers have developed what is known as search marketing which is centered around the common ways in which people will look for the products they desire. This process turns the search and sell speed up another notch and allows users to find what they need as easily as possible without having to sift through the hidden messages and brand labeling.
As I said before, the new tactics of the digital business world are moving in a much more positive and humanistic direction. The future looks brighter for those who simply want their process of using the internet as a tool to be sooth, rather than a scavenger hunt.
