Description and Contact Information
March 19th, 2007 by jcolsonConnecticut Mennonite & Brethren Potluck and Hymn Sing
We meet usually on the first Sunday of each month (except July) from 5-8 PM for potluck supper followed by singing from Hymnal: A Worship Book or other sources. The group is informal and the name above is simply descriptive. For “Mennonite & Brethren” you could substitute “Anabaptist”.
The site of the meeting alternates each month between a home in New Haven (1) and a home in Middletown (2), Connecticut. The participants are not connected to one single congregation. If you asked for a recommendation for where to go on Sunday mornings you would get many different answers, partly due to geographic diversity and partly for other reasons.
A retreat is held in early October.
The creator of this website (3) is taking advantage of the generosity of the University of Massachusetts, where he is an adjunct faculty member. I have left out email addresses, but you can contact me to get them. I attended UMass Amherst for my masters degree in public health (got a higher degree elsewhere) and I teach in the UMass online masters in public health program.
