January 2018 Moodle News

Reminder: Removal of Old Moodle Courses

On Thursday, February 15, 2018, access to Moodle courses taught up to and including Spring 2016 will be removed from Moodle at UMass Amherst.

Please backup any course content you do not wish to lose, including course materials, grades, and student submissions. To ensure you have everything you need from your course, see Backup a Moodle Course.

If there is a possibility you will not teach a course again within the 18th-month window courses are kept on Moodle, we strongly recommend you download a Moodle (.mbz) backup file and store it in a safe place such as your UMass Amherst Box account. When the need arises, you’ll be able to contact the Instructional Media Lab and share the file to have the course restored. No worries!

What’s New in Moodle?

The Moodle team has not added anything since last month, but perhaps you didn’t catch our most recent modifications. For a full history of everything we’ve changed on Moodle at UMass Amherst since it’s inception in 2011, visit Moodle Modifications.
