Barry Holstein research summary

Most of my research has concentrated in high energy and nuclear phenomenology, especially in the areas which overlap both fields. Much of my work has focused on the use of symmetries such as chiral symmetry, T/CP invariance, etc. in order to study fundamental particle interactions. Recently I have focused also on the use of effective field theoretic (EFT) techniques.

Current research projects include a study one loop quantum gravity as an EFT, on use of a new type of dispersion relation (sideways) in order to study higher order effects in the chiral expansion, and on an EFT approach to the nucleon-nucleon parity-violating interaction.
