Engineers Without Borders is a student-run organization dedicated to helping local and international communities create sustainable, community-driven solutions in order to improve their quality of life. The chapter at the University of Massachusetts Amherst operates programs in Ghana and Kenya to help locals develop clean, reliable, and convenient water infrastructure projects. In addition, a local energy program is working in collaboration with the campus to develop solar projects.
Location: Marston 132
Our first chapter meeting of the fall 2015 semester will be featuring a presentation by the Ghana travel team about their recent trip! We will also be announcing upcoming events, and discussing both the Kenya and Ghana programs’ current projects. This is a great opportunity to learn about EWB-UMass and as always, there will be PIZZA!
Also, we will be selling EWB baseball caps at the meeting for $20 each!
