19th Century Masterfile indexes over 60 indexes across subjects which cover periodicals, books, newspapers, U.S. patents, government documents and the U.S. Congressional Record published prior to 1930. You can search by keyword, title or author, or browse by keyword, journal title or author.

New Collection of Newspapers from the Middle East
The Middle East Newsstand is a recent addition to the Libraries’ newspaper resources. With more than 30 current, full text newspaper French- and English-language newspapers from the Arab world, Israel, and the subcontinent, this collection provides access to timely news and analysis from regional sources.

The Libraries have added a subscription to Ancestry Library. Ancestry Library is a rich source of historical birth, death, marriage records and census data from the United States, the UK and Ireland, Europe, Canada and Australia. This database is for on-campus use only.

SPORTDiscus now has Full-Text
The Libraries has upgraded its subscription to SPORTDiscus to included the full-text of its contents. Full-text coverage of 550 sports and sports medicine journals goes back to 1985.

Historical Boston Globe has Expanded Coverage
The Historical Boston Globe now has complete coverage of the newspaper between 1872-1979. Coverage since 1980 is included in the current Boston Globe.
Global Market Information Database (GMID) Upgrade
The Libraries has upgraded its subscription to the Global Market Information Database. Now Passport GMID, the database provides industry and company analysis, consumer and household trend reporting with 18,000 full-text market, company and country reports and 8 million comparable market statistics.

ProQuest Databases Unavailable for 12 Hours This Weekend
UMass Amherst Libraries subscribes to many databases on the ProQuest, Chadwyck Healey and CSA Illumina platforms. These databases will be unavailable as infrastructure maintenance is performed between 10:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19th and 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 20th.
Medici.tv – trial of performing arts videos
Medici.tv has over 600 videos of classical music concerts; opera and ballet performances; composer and artist profiles; and master classes. The service also provides live broadcasts.
