Trials for Building and Architecture Sources: Emporis Research and MADCAD

Emporis Research is a source of data about over 400,000 buildings around the world. You can search for a specific building and retrieve technical data, location, and companies involved in constructing specific buildings; building industry companies and directory information by location; or cities, states and regions and the buildings within them. The trial runs through November 5th, 2010.

MADCAD is a source of building codes. You can search for title keywords or browse by publisher or year. The full-text of the codes are included.

Trial for Social Explorer

Social Explorer provides historical census data and demographic information from the U.S. Census, American Community Survey, the Religious Congregations and Membership Study, and the 2002 Carbon Emissions Data from the Vulcan Project. You can select data and generate maps to display it or read the information in report form.

Hispanic American Newspapers – Two new trials

U.S. Hispanic Newstand provides local, regional, national and international news from the Hispanic perspective and includes newspapers from around the country from 1990 to the present. The trial continues through October 9th, 2010.

Hispanic American Newspapers, 1808-1980 provides historical coverage of Hispanic American newspapers. This trial continues through October 29th, 2010.
