The Historical Pittsburgh Courier is considered the leading U.S. newspaper for the African American community in the 20th century. Coverage in this online version is from 1911-2002. You can search by keywords and limit by date or document type (e.g. article, editorial cartoon, birth notice, real estate transaction, etc.)
