Current projects

I’m currently working on a project investigating the stability of the Antarctic ice sheet during the Miocene. Although there is geological evidence for the waxing and waning of the Antarctic ice sheet during the Miocene, this is something that has long proven difficult to replicate with ice sheet models. In simulations, the ice sheet is very stable once it first forms, making simulation of ice sheet retreat problematic.

During my PhD I investigated how temperature and sea level were related in the past, using a mixture of data synthesis and climate / ice sheet modelling. [pdf]
