Background

IMG_0531_faceI’m a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, investigating past glaciation and deglaciation events of the Antarctic ice sheet. My research uses models of the climate system and ice sheets to try and determine the stability of past ice sheets. An improved understanding of how ice sheets behaved in the past may aid our ability to predict how they will respond in the future, leading to improved estimates of future sea level change.

Prior to this, I received my PhD from the University of Bristol, where I investigated the past relationship between temperature and sea level throughout the Cenozoic, based on geological records and ice sheet modelling.
