The UMass Dance Team is back from camp at Boston University with a silver bid to Nationals and we are looking for some new dancers to be a part of this team! If you missed auditions in the spring, this is your last chance to join this dedicated and hard working team this year! We hope to see you all there!
When: Tuesday September 13th @ 7pm (Callbacks will be Wednesday September 14th)
Where: Curry Hicks Cage
During auditions you will have to show us a triple pirouette, fouettes, turns in second, side leap, toe touch, and a switch leap. We would also love to see any other advance skills that you may have such as a leg extension, a switch strattle, quarter fouettes, any gymnastic skills, etc. Keep in mind, the more advanced skills we see, the better. We will also be teaching you a short routine, therefore you do not need to come prepared with a solo.
Being a member of this team requires hard work and commitment but it all pays off when we perform at UMass games and even more so when we travel to Daytona, Florida for NDA Nationals in Spring!
It does cost $10 to audition. This money helps us a lot during the year so we do not have to ask the school for as much.
If you have any other questions you can email our captain, Ashley Konrad akonrad829@gmail.com
Thanks to everyone who supported and donated to the 2011 UMass Dance Team! We would not have made it to nationals without you!

The team with Sam the Minuteman! All the girls had a great time at the homecoming game, even if we lost in the last ten seconds. Also, it was nice to see some Dance Team alumni. Come check us out this weekend at Gillette Stadium!

After a year of hardwork we’ve snatched 6th place! With over 230 teams total competeing at NDA/NCA, we are extremely honored and excited to be top 10. The competition was tough in our division this year so we are proud to remain a high-ranking team. Great work girls!
**Spring audition information will be posted soon!
After a year full of sweat, tears, hard work, and dedication, it is about that time to fly down to our annual nationals in Daytona Beach, FL. The team has worked extremely hard and we couldnt be more ecstatic to return to NDA even stronger than last year. Wish us goodluck and also goodluck to the UMass cheerleaders who will also be competeing! Lets get it UMass!!
With basketball season well under way, we now face the challenge of preparing our nationals routine. We met with our choreographer just a few weeks ago and our routine for sure has the potential to be the best one yet. There is no doubt that it is going to be the hardest as well, but we are a group of hard-working and dedicated girls who will get the job done. We are very excited for this year and for the outcome of our routine. Keep posted for photos, and videos and be sure to check out our performances at the UMass men’s home basketball games.
The workshop on Sunday, September 13th will be from 1-4.. We hope to see you there:-)

We are holding spring auditions for the 2011-2012 season:
When: Sunday, May 1st 2011 @ 2pm
Where: Curry Hicks Cage (Click here for a detailed map of campus)

We would also love to see any other advance skills that you may have such as a leg extension, a switch strattle, quarter fouettes, any gymnastic skills, etc. Keep in mind, the more advanced skills we see, the better. We will also be teaching you two combinations, therefore you do not need to come prepared with your own routine. Although we do have additional tryouts in the fall, we strongly encourage you to audition in the spring. The reason for this is that if you do not make it this time around you have a second chance to be apart of the 2011-2012 season team!
