? Happy Valentine’s Day! ?

Fever with Sam
Yep! We had a basketball game on Valentine’s Day! UMass played Fordham and the game was shown on ESPN.

We wanted to do something special for the holiday, so we decided to perform a new, jazz dance to a love song. At first, the dance was choreographed to “You Can’t Hurry Love” by Diana Ross and the Supremes, but then it was changed to “Fever” (you give me fever…bu bumm). You can see the dance on our Dance Videos webpage.

We even got Sam the Minuteman in on our dance. He jumped in at the end and posed with us, as the guy we were in love with. We had never danced with him before, and although it was short, it was a lot of fun. We might just have to collaborate with him again sometime soon.

Just for fun, these were some of the cool outfits worn at the game:

A group of girls in the audience wore pink,”Will you Be My Valentine” t-shirts, each with a different basketball player’s name and number on it.

Six shirtless guys in the Maroon Platoon had “TRAVIS” (Coach Travis Ford) painted on their bodies.

But by far, the most unique outfit of the night, was a guy wearing a banana costume with a basketball jersey on top of it. We never figured out what that was all about. It probably had nothing to do with the holiday, but who knows.

The next home basketball game is this Sunday, February 17th at 2pm. UMass is playing Saint Louis and it will be broadcasted on CSTV. We hope to see you there! ?
