Professor Nergis Mavalvala joined the Physics faculty at MIT in January 2002. Anthony Dinsmore is a Professor of Physics at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.  His group studies the statistical mechanics of soft matter: colloids, vesicles, emulsions, nanoparticle suspensions and other squishy things.
