About the Center
The Center for Spectator Sport Research is located in the Sport Management Department at the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts. The Center’s goal is to produce knowledge in the sports industry through educational programs, training, and research. This goal will be accomplished through alliances with top corporate partners and individuals in our industry, along with institutions and individuals in the academic setting.
Mission
The mission of the Center for Spectator Sport Research is to strengthen relationships among members of the industry by 1) providing outreach activities to the spectator sports industry; and 2) enhancing training and educational opportunities for students.
The Center will focus on two primary core concepts: 1) Business; 2) Education and Training. For the Business portion, the Center aims to conduct customized, retainer-based and syndicated research for members of the spectator sports industry. With respects to Education and Training, the Center also plans to collaborate with leading sport research organizations and provide educational and training opportunities for industry executives and students.

I am very happy with this great concept of Center for Spectator Sport Research . This will help us create a learning sports environment to the vast audience ; a responssive learning posture that will give the passionate sports lovers ,sports institutions, governments and corporate entities advantage to look into the problems critically with adequate information flow and as evidence of a need to overhaul the negative attitudes to build the ” Sport lifestyles that will not only define the growth patterns of future economic market place but also provide a motive for continual development and self realization of competitive investment in human resourcefulness [capabilities] that brings about togetherness, integration and tolerance of one another irrespective the nature of human endeavor.
Once again, i very delighted for this research center and will always be part of this Sport Knowledge management in marrying the passion for sports and academics in coping the today’s complex world of sport.
Apparently, am very delightful to be back again after a while. Basically, this is the only site that has put joy into my life and purpose in living as an individual aftermath during my passion for spectator sport. I love this centre for spectator sport and willing to share part of the knowledge and pratical vision in sport knowledge management.

I am very elated discovering the recent launched site of Center for Spectator Sport Research. Apparently, am convinced that the future of spectator sports where averages fans could invests in natural resoucefulness pertinent in living a fulfiled life that has a constuctive measure to sportbiz, career, commerce, culture and lifestyle etc based on our passion will become a reality through this emergence of Sport integrated with knowledge.
