Interdisciplinary study of the mind

cogsci-group

The First UMass CogSci Workshop, Nov. 13th 2014

UMass Cognitive Science brings together over 60 faculty and many graduate students who study cognition in a wide range of disciplines: Communication Disorders, Computer Science, Education, Linguistics, Music, Neuroscience, Philosophy and Psychology. We have a rich history of interdisciplinary collaboration, particularly in the areas of language, memory, learningconceptual knowledge, auditory perception and visual perception. We continue to push the frontiers of our understanding of the workings of the human mind, including research in the rapidly developing areas of cognitive neuroscience and computational cognitive science.

To keep abreast of current events in UMass CogSci, please join one of our mailing lists to receive our weekly newsletter and other announcements.

We are in the midst of a “reboot” in the 2023-2024 school year – please contact Shota Momma, the director, or a steering committee member if you would like to be involved!
