My wife, Margi Caplan, is Membership and Marketing Director at the Smith College Museum of Art.

My daughter, Nora Caplan-Bricker, is a free lance journalist, essayist, and critic. Her work has appeared in the Washington Post magazine, the New Yorker online, the Atlantic, Outside, the Point, and many more. Previously, she was a contributing writer for Slate, a staff correspondent for the National Journal Magazine, and a staff writer for The New Republic. She graduated from Yale University in 2012 and completed an MFA at Emerson College in 2018.

My son, Adam Caplan-Bricker, graduated from MIT in 2016, majoring in mathematics and music.  He has recently been working on projects developing apps for music education.  He is also pursuing research in pure mathematics.
