Welcome to the course site for Design of Wood Structures (BCT 540) at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
This course is intended as a foundation to wood design concepts for the aspiring wood builders and designers of tomorrow. Contemporary wood structures demonstrate ingenuity and new direction. Efficient in design and environmentally responsible, wood is being integrated into showcase structures in more and more creative and inspiring ways every day.
