Introduction to CAD in Construction and Architecture

We are going to spend some time covering Topic 15, Coordination with XREF.

I will show a few pictures from Assignment 5 with Sketchup. I took a random assortment of pictures to show everyone. Lots of good work on this homework.

I did want to review component schedules in drawings, so I will do that briefly.

We’ll then do an in-class coordination exercise where we’ll combine the architectural, structural, and MEP (mechanical-electrical-plumbing) drawings together and see if we can find any conflicts.

After that you’ll have time to work on final projects.

Final Project Due Thursday Dec. 15

Hand in the (2) printouts by 4 p.m. in Holdsworth 302 next Thursday. If you have a conflicting final, you can put the printouts in Alex Schreyer’s mailbox (2nd floor Holdsworth, mailroom) before that.
